Machine Tools Tending Robot
xTend has been designed to meet the handling needs necessary for the tending of automatic machine tools such as:
- Numerical Control machining Centers (CNC)
- Lathes
- Presses
- Transfer
The robotic system is designed and dimensioned according to customer needs, so as to adapt to any new or existing machine tool. Always in collaboration with the customer, it's chosen the type of robot (Scara, anthropomorphic, Cartesian) that best suits the required characteristics, evaluating the types, dimensions and weight (up to hundreds of kilograms) of workpiece.
In the realization of our machine toos tending systems, we use robots and components of the most famous
manufacturers such as: KUKA, ABB, Comau, Fanuc, Adept, Kawasaki, Motoman.
Our
xTend series tending robots can, on request, be equipped with "Robot Guide" systems made with our
Vision Systems: in a completely automatic way it will be possible to obtain
the recognition of the product, determine the picking and deposit positions and carry out any quality control
operations.
The programming of robots is simple and intuitive, thanks to special parameterization and self-learning
software. Through a mobile console you can quickly choose one of stored cycles, allowing production stops that
do not go beyond the few seconds. The programming software has also been designed to allow the introduction of
a new working format in a few minutes (even by personnel not particularly prepared), simply by self-learning
some critical points and/or by introducing the size of the product.
