Presses Tending Robot
xPress is the result of years of experience and success in the field of automation of sheet metal
presses, with particular reference to the automotive industry and the production of household appliances. In
these sectors, the complexity of molding operations often requires the use of a high number of presses placed
in series and, therefore, the adoption of robotized tending systems in order to reduce production costs and
increase productive efficiency of the plant.
The
XPress series robots, designed and set up specifically for use in the pressing of presses, guarantee
performance and flexibility that are clearly superior to traditional supply systems through transfer lines or
equivalents.
Strength of our
xPress tending systems is the complex management software that, by exploiting the total interconnection
of the robots and the presses through local communication networks (Profibus, Devicenet, Ethernet, ProfiNet),
allows to obtain the dynamic optimization of the time cycle. In this operating mode, the robots automatically
and dynamically correct their working speed so as to synchronize with both the associated presses and the
other robots participating in the operations. The end result is a significant increase in the efficiency of
the lines of interpressed compared to traditional manual or automatic loading methods.
The programming and management system is also simple and intuitive: the normal operations on the system
such as format change, the adjustment of the working parameters or the display of the operating status, can be
accessed directly from the supervision PC. Similarly, the introduction of a new format can be carried out in a
few minutes (even by personnel not particularly prepared), simply by self-learning some critical points and/or
by introducing the dimensions of the product
